Friends, Romans, Countrymen, I’M GOING FOR MY 16th WEEK ANTENATAL VISIT TOMORROW.

Phew, had to let that out of my chest. Feel much better now.

According to my trusted pregnancy books, my doctor will check the following tomorrow:

- serum screening blood test

- blood pressure

- urine, for sugar and protein

- fetal heartbeat

- size of uterus by external palpation (feeling from the outside)

- heights of fundus

- edema and varicose veins

And here is a list of things to do before attending the appointment:

- have my questions ready (ie who will carry out fetal anomaly scan at 20th week etc.)

- bring along my facial care product to show Dr Wendy, to make sure that it is completely safe, even though I didn’t find Retin-A, Accutane and tetracycline in its ingredients. One can not be too careful..

- show the doctor the iron supplement I got from Lui Sian

- bring along a copy of the blood test report done 2 years ago, before I started trying for babies
